Dear God, Bush is 'Dead Certain'

Just when I thought that my estimation of Bush couldn't get any lower he went and found a way. He's been lying to us, yes, we know this. But even as he waddles like the lame duck that he is out of office we find that he is still — still — making every attempt to keep us in this immoral war. He has admitted in a new book, Dead Certain: The Presidency of George W. Bush by Robert Draper, that he wants to keep us in the, to quote Cheney, "quagmire" indefinitely!!

Just what kind of monster is sitting in the White House? A man who is supposedly the leader of the "free" world is playing with the lives of our soldiers and the Iraqi people.

From Keith Olbermann's Special Comment:
"Bush just playing us with 'troop withdrawal'" —

And there it is. We've caught you. Your goal is not to bring some troops home, maybe, if we let you have your way now. Your goal is not to set the stage for eventual withdrawal. You are, to use your own disrespectful, tone-deaf word, playing at getting the next Republican nominee to agree to jump into this bottomless pit with you, and take us with him, as we stay in Iraq for another year, and another, and another, and anon.

Everything you said about Iraq yesterday, and everything you will say, is a deception, for the purpose of this one cynical, unacceptable, brutal goal: perpetuating this war indefinitely.

War today, war tomorrow, war forever!

We cannot elect another Bush-like president. This means anyone who thinks that they just deserve this job but has no principles and thinks of the American people as an after thought. This means anyone who just looks the part and has nothing to say about real issues people face in the world today. Bush is a stark reminder that that kind of politics needs to be dead and buried, no matter what the lazy media tries to shove into our faces. Let us all vow to look beyond the "horse race" and focus on the real issues and the candidate's stand on them.
