Noam Chomsky Radio

Planet Chomsky is an Internet radio station dedicated to the speeches of Noam Chomsky. It boasts “over 140 hours” of Chomsky speeches, interviews, talk, and lectures. This is proof that you can find just about anything on the Internet. (Isn't great!)

This station is perfect for those of you who are unfortunate enough to have never heard Noam Chomsky speak (and for those of you who are looking for a new more inventive way to torture that friend or relative who is still on the right!)

Noam Chomsky is one of America's most prolific and important political thinkers. One may even argue that he is the most important political intellectual we have. Yet most Americans don't even know his name. He is widely read and understood the world over, but he is ignored and hidden by the American media. This is a chance to hear him for yourself.

Also, what a surprise, Noam Chomsky has a new book out. Interventions is a collection of more than 30 New York Times Syndicate essays aimed at various aspects of U.S. power and politics in the post-9/11 world. “Each piece in the book is in itself an intellectual intervention aimed at raising public ire about the consequences of the U.S. abuse of power at home and abroad.” While Chomsky's New York Times Syndicate writings are widely published around the world, they have rarely been printed in major U.S. media and none have been published in the New York Times.
